Pitch

-    In our pitch we spoke about the ‘synopsis’ which in this Love story it begins with Priya (played by Nadya) and Jamal (played by Myles) is in a relationship that’s about to end as Priya has been caught and because of her family arranging, her untimely marriage to a relative from her country India.
-   We spoke about the ‘Target Audience’ which is 16-64. It’s a South Asian Demographic Predominantly although it’s an eye – opener. This film is aimed for a working class demographic. It’s to inform those into maybe unaware of this quite traumatic experience.

-    We spoke about the ‘Film Extras’. As we’re exploring a new/ taboo genre its main purpose is to inform what an everyday situation in South Asian Culture is. It’s a social drama film. It’s close – ended narrative, unless the family gets to justice and in these scenarios it’s rare. We also might have Urdu, Punjabi with English subtitles in scenes where the family are plotting.

-    The ‘settings’ will be in Chingford (at Sharuks house). It will be placed in High Beech too in a forest. College or café. Maybe in a car and the roads.

-    The ‘props’ we spoke about were: A Car, Suitcase, Multi – Cultural Clothing, Conventional Clothing and Black Re-used Bags (Bin bags) and a Lake or River.

-    For ‘camera shots’ we’re going to use the point of view shot when Priyas in the boot. Over the shoulder shot when they split up. Tracking shot. As we’re driving to and from the forest. Medium. Arc. When Jamal gets beat up. Worm eye – as Jamal looks up as his getting beat up.

-    For ‘binary oppositions’ we spoke about 2life – Death, 2ust – Love, freedom -  Trapped.
